[edit] BC (Before College)

I grew up in Branford, CT, where I lived until I went to college. I attended Xavier High School in Middletown, CT and graduated in 1997.

I attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. While a student, I worked several different jobs before settling into a position with ResNet@UConn. I worked for them as a student until I graduated. I graduated in December of 2001 with a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

[edit] Post-College

Following graduation, in the aftermath of 9/11 and the dot com bubble, I found it difficult to find a position doing what I wanted. I worked several part time jobs: cabinet maker, warehouse worker, substitute teacher. In October of 2003, I took a position at Seymour High School in Seymour, CT. I became their Writing Center Tutor in the small computer lab in the school library. Two months after starting, I applied for, was offered, and accepted the position of Helpdesk Coordinator for Nights and Weekends at Providence College in Providence, RI. I held that position for 2 years.

I am currently the Helpdesk Manager at Providence College, a position I accepted in December of 2005. I manage about 60-70 student employees and support the entire Providence College community, about 800 faculty and staff and about 3,800 students. Since working at Providence College, I started a ResNet support program, created an application and interview process for student employees, and streamlined the work performed at the Helpdesk.
