The President shall be an officer and voting member of the Board of Directors, which manages the affairs of the corporation, and as such, may exercise all the powers of the corporation. The president shall be the chief executive officer and signatory of the corporation and, subject to the direction of the Directors, shall have general charge and supervision of the affairs of the corporation, shall see that orders and resolutions of the Directors are carried into effect, and shall make all decisions and perform all acts necessary to the conduct of the corporation between meetings of the Directors. The president shall preside at all meetings of the members and at all meetings of the Directors. The President serves in the third year of the presidential track, having been elected by popular vote as Vice President, provided that they remain members in good standing.


Duties of the President (Year Three of Three-Year Presidential Track)

  1. Orients the President Elect
  2. Champions the core values of the ResNet organization
  3. Provides leadership and direction to the organization's activities
  4. Presides over members' meetings, generally convened at annual Symposium
  5. Prepares agendas and chairs the Board of Directors meetings
  6. May represent the organization various conference and partnership meetings and events
  7. Serves as official representative to external partners
  8. Provides leadership and direction to the Nominations Committee
  9. Makes all Board appointments with the approval of the Board of Directors
