Announcing the new ResNetSymposium.org12.14.2007 (excerpted from email to ResNet-L list from Lori Higashi, Information Resources Chair) The ResNet Steering and Informational Resources Committees are pleased to announce the launch of the new ResNet Web page at ResNetSymposium.org. We have moved all of our content into a wiki. The good news is that there is no need to remember a new URL; it's still <http://www.resnetsymposium.org>! We hope that you will all take part in adding to it to make it a resource for the entire community. Interested in Hosting ResNet 2010?09.13.2007 (excerpted from email to ResNet-L list from Dee Childs, Steering Committee Chair) It is already time to begin the selection process for the location of the 16th annual ResNet Symposium in the summer of 2010. So, if you would like to invite 300 of your close and personal ResNet friends to a city near you - I mean REALLY near you - then I encourage you to submit a bid to host the 2010 ResNet Symposium at your college or university. Past ResNet hosts – and there are now over a dozen of them now (!) - have found that hosting ResNet is a thoroughly worthwhile and enjoyable experience, one that provides both you and your campus associates an opportunity to highlight your institution. Although summer 2010 seems like a far-off distant future, those who have hosted ResNet in the past agree that having this much time to plan will greatly facilitate the quality and success of the event. The Steering Committee has done a great deal of work over the past few months to make your job of preparing a bid much easier. The documentation on preparing a bid on the ResNet Symposium web site is quite detailed and includes sample budgets and web sites to get you well on your way to creating a bid. UNB welcomes the ResNet community to Canada!06.26.2007 The University of New Brunswick is excited to host ResNet 2008, the 15th annual ResNet Symposium, in Fredericton New Brunswick from June 21st - 25th 2008. |
