Q: Where will the check-in/registration/information desk be located?
A:
The Registration & Information Desk will be located in the lounge of the Fairhaven Common Building in the Fairhaven Complex of residence halls, where ResNet attendees who choose to lodge on-campus will be staying. This is where all attendees must check-in for the symposium, there is ample parking very close by, and signs will direct everyone to the community building.
Desk Hours:
- Friday, June 25th: 2:00pm to 5:00pm
- Saturday, June 26th: 7:30am to 9:30am, 12:30pm to 6:30pm

Q: I am staying off-campus, how do I get to the symposium from my hotel?
A:
ResNet 2010 will not be providing shuttles from area hotels. If you are planning on staying off-campus, please be prepared to arrange your own transportation to and from the campus.
Whatcom Transit Authority provides great bus coverage all over Bellingham, for $1.00 a ride, with a number of Go Lines offering service every 15 minutes. All attendees will be given printed guides to help them navigate between campus and some common destinations.
If you’ll be driving a car between your off-campus lodging and campus, information on parking on campus is available here.
Q: What should I expect for food and meals?
A:
The majority of meals during the symposium, excluding dinner the evening of Monday, June 28th, will be covered by the registration fee. These are listed on the Registration page.
Additionally, there will be snacks and beverages provided during breaks between sessions.
The ResNet 2010 Host Committee has worked hard to ensure we have a selection of quality foods that will suit the needs of our attendees while maintaining our budget during these tough economic times. During registation, attendees were asked to note any special food needs such as vegitarian needs or food allergies. If you did not specify a need or allergy during registration, please contact us at host@resnetsymposium.org. We will try to accomodate you within reason, but may be limited in what we can provide with the proximity to the symposium start.
Finally, if our budget allows, there will be an assortment of snacks and beverages available in one of the lounges in the Fairhaven Complex, where attendees staying in on-campus lodging will be housed. The snack bar will be open during building hours. Feel free to stop in and grab a snack, but we ask you take only what you need in order to provide for everyone and keep costs down.

After dinner, the Fairhaven Historic District is a short walk away, offering several options for evening entertainment, or it’s a 10-minute bus or car ride to Downtown Bellingham. For attendees who wish to coordinate a night on the town with other ResNetters, we’ve set up an Exploring Bellingham forum on our ResNet 2010 Discussion Forums page for that very purpose.

Western’s campus is nestled at the foot of the Sehome Hill Arboretum. The trails in the arboretum range from easy to moderately strenuous, and are suited for hiking and trail running.
City Trails:
The City of Bellingham has a great list of other trails close to campus, many of which are suitable for hiking, running, and cycling, and we’ve set up a thread in the Exloring Bellingham forum on our ResNet 2010 Discussion Forums page, where we will answer questions about hiking in the area.
Galbraith Mountain – Mountain Biking Mecca:
