| Description: | Although Windows 7, Microsoft’s Newest Windows OS, will not be released until late 2009 or early 2010, we nevertheless need to be prepared to support it in advanced-beta form for fall 2009. This presentation will focus on the changes and improvements in Windows 7 that will have the most impact on us as ResNet support staff. It will provide a quick overview of the Windows 7 user interface and cover in more detail the enhancements to the operating system’s performance, networking, and security functionality. If time permits, we will also preview some of the “fun” new technologies in Windows 7: “Desktop Peek,” advanced touch control, Internet Explorer 8, and Jump Lists. |
