| Description: | Over the past 2-3 years, IT at PC has been reaching out to students, faculty,
and staff to get input into how we can improve our services and what services
they would like to see. This presentation will focus primarily on the student
outreach, which involves the training and use of student facilitators. Last summer, during one of our outreach sessions, we determined that one of the biggest issues was with the multiple "helpdesks" on campus (Physical Plant, IT, Media Services, Student Information Desk, etc) and the various "silos" of information that went along with this. To help alleviate some of the problems of the "silos", IT started a wiki to bring all this information together and allow other departments and anyone who had something to share to contribute. I will discuss some of the issues we dealt with in the creation of the wiki along with how we're working on getting more people involved with IT. |
