ResNet Symposium 2009

Area Attractions and Things To Do

General Information

Munsinger Gardens

St. Cloud and its neighboring cities of Waite Park, Sauk Rapids, and Sartell offer a wide variety of recreation and entertainment as well as shopping opportunities.

St. Cloud is a major center of tourism in central Minnesota and is the fastest growing area in the state with a population in its metropolitan area of over 180,000 persons. Because of its location on the Mississippi River, it offers scenic views and an array of hiking and natural activities, such as canoeing.

St. Cloud is also home to the Munsinger and Clemens Gardens. These gardens have over 1,000 rose bushes and offer an incredible display of flowers and foliage throughout the spring and summer months. Located right on the Mississippi River across from St. Cloud State University, these impressive gardens are a must see when visiting St. Cloud.

St Cloud's local Granite City Days will be occuring during the symposium. On Thursday, June 25th, the SCSU campus hosts the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair which turns the SCSU campus into a large art and craft fair including many food and entertainment options. An outdoor concert is held later that evening. Granite city days also includes a block party, river run and the taste of St Cloud.
