Accomodations
Accommodations are available on campus as well as at local hotels. Those staying on campus will be in close walking distance to all on-campus conference activities. For those staying off-campus, transportation between your hotel & the campus is your responsibility and not provided as part of the conference registration fee.
On Campus
On campus accommodations are provided with traditional residence and family housing, though the availability of family housing is limited and will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis.
Traditional residence rooms can be reserved as follows:
- Single Room (one single bed): $35 +HST
- Double Room (two single beds): $45 +HST
Most washrooms are shared on the hall; however, the ratio is high and the building is exclusively reserved for ResNetters. The hospitality/snack room as well as Geek Olympics and Jeopardy will be hosted in this building and there are also several lounges for delegates to gather in. All rooms have high-speed internet connection (hard-wired, bring an Ethernet cable) and free local calls.
Family housing can be reserved as follows:
- Three-bedroom suite (each bedroom with a double bed): $119 +HST
- Two-bedroom suite (each bedroom with a double bed): $99 +HST
Each suite includes the bedrooms as well as a washroom, living room and kitchen. High speed internet (hard-wired, bring an Ethernet cable) and free local calls are included.
Please note, while the bedrooms on campus are hard-wired for internet, wireless is readily available in several locations across campus and we will provide a key for login that works for both the hard-wired connection and the wireless. Also, for anyone not bringing a laptop, there are computer labs in the traditional residence for use and some kiosks in the building where the sessions are being held.
Reservations can be made through the online registration system for the ResNet Symposium.
Off Campus
We have room blocks for ResNet in two hotels in Fredericton. Please contact your choice of hotel early to make sure you get a room! Please note, official shuttles will not be coordinated between the off-campus accommodations and the UNB Campus. Taxis are approximately $5 each way, there are several car rental companies in the city (see our travel section), and we encourage delegates to connect with one another to carpool.
The Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Fredericton is located in the heart of downtown, conveniently next to the site for the closing event and many Fredericton attractions. The Crowne Plaza has recently undergone extensive renovations and is a short drive or a nice 20 minute walk to campus.
