Getting to ResNet 2007 By Air The San Diego International Airport is located 15 miles south of UCSD, and the airport identifier for San Diego is SAN. All of the major airlines service San Diego, with direct flights from most regions. Airport Transportation Information Door-to-door shuttle service to/from the airport is available via Cloud 9 Shuttle. No reservation is necessary, but you can make a reservation online. Cloud 9 shuttle will provide service between our Conference site at UCSD and the airport. Shuttle Service is available on the Transportation Plazas across from Terminals 1 and 2 via the skybridge. By Train The Amtrak station is located 10 miles Nouth of UCSD in Solana Beach, SOL. Another station is located near downtown, 15 miles South of UCSD, SAN. Door-to-door shuttle service to/from the station is available via Cloud 9 Shuttle. No reservation is necessary. Train information and fares can be found via the Metropolitan Transit System here Both the train (Amtrak) and bus (Greyhound) stations are located in downtown San Diego, not far from the airport. Cloud 9 Shuttle will provide service from either station to UCSD. Call them at 619-505-4950 or 800-9-SHUTTLE. By Car and Taxi Car rentals are also available at the airport with shuttles providing transportation to the rental facilities. General directions to UCSD are also available. Taxi fare is approximately $40-$50 each way to or from the airport, bus station, or train depot. If you are staying on campus, parking rates are included with your housing fees. If you are staying off campus, parking is available for $6/day.
